Reflections for Everyone

No matter what your assignment is, we invite you to reflect on your relationship and experiences with Jesus Christ to prepare for this experience. Here are some things you could ponder:

  • If you could tell someone one thing about the Savior, what would it be?

  • What does it mean to you to be a witness of Jesus Christ right here, right now?

  • When did you first feel that Jesus Christ was real and that He knew you?

  • What scripture, hymn, or experience strengthens your testimony?

Youth should be in the High Council room 5 minutes before their assignment is scheduled to start.

Hosting Assignments

Hosts will be given a variety of assignments when they meet in the High Council Room. The main assignment will be to lead groups from room to room. Below is an example of what a host might say at the beginning of their tour through the building. There is no set script. This is simply to give you an idea of what you could say:

Welcome to the Living Christ Easter Event. As we visit each room, we will view a short video depicting portions of the Savior’s birth, mortal ministry, Atonement, Crucifixion, and Resurrection. We then invite you to listen to the Testimonies that will be shared of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Testifying Assignment Instructions

Select the button below to view specific instructions for the room you have been assigned:

Nativity

Your room is about the Savior coming to earth as a baby, born in the humblest way to fulfill the greatest purpose.

  1. How does it feel to know that Heavenly Father loved you enough to send His Son?

  2. Why do you think God chose a stable instead of a palace for His Son to be born in?

  3. Mary and Joseph were young and far from home, but they trusted God. What does their faith teach you?

Teachings of Christ

Your room focuses on what Jesus taught, His parables, the Sermon on the Mount, and His invitations to all of us.

  1. What is one thing Jesus taught that has changed how you live or treat others?

  2. When you read the Savior's words, does it feel like He's talking directly to you?

  3. Which parable means the most to you right now, and why?

Miracles of Jesus Christ

Your room is about the miracles of Jesus, healings, feeding thousands, calming storms, and raising the dead.

  1. What's your favorite miracle story, and what does it teach you about who Jesus is?

  2. Jesus could do anything, but He often served one person at a time. What does that tell you about how He sees you?

  3. What do His miracles show about how He feels about people who are struggling or overlooked?

The Living Christ

This is the most sacred room, focusing on the Savior's suffering in Gethsemane, His death on the cross, His Resurrection, and how we remember Him through the sacrament.

  1. What does the Atonement of Jesus Christ mean to you personally, not as a definition, but something you've felt?

  2. If you could tell someone who felt hopeless one thing about what the Savior has done for them, what would you say?

  3. When you think about what the Savior went through for you, how does it change the way you live?
